Sales Manager in Germany

At Isprox Consulting we are assisting our client in the search of Sales Manager for a testing lab in Germany. Our client specializes in sterilization and surgical products for the healthcare system and has a solid history within this industry. The role is technical sales based in the City of Leipzig, where you will be responsible for identifying and winning new business through business development and prospecting in laboratory testing (packaging) initially in Germany.
Description of this role
As a sales Manager in the Lab, you will be responsible for the assessment of test requirements, methods, Customer specifications and information supplied in conjunction with other team members to ensure that every Customer project is managed and delivered successfully You will support the team in the drive sales through the creation of strategies to support the wider company sales team. You will assume responsibility as part of the team to develop key accounts. Furthermore, you will support team members in the implementation of business development strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support business growth through strategic business development in Germany, utilizing the Commercial Team in the DACH region.
- Balance time between Account development and Business development to ensure a steady stream of new business opportunities.
- Put in place monthly face to face and or online meetings and as a minimum Quarterly Business Reviews with all Key Accounts reviewing our selected KPI’s of OTD and Right First Time.
- Create long lasting partnerships with the wider sales teams to promote the whole company service offering.
- Understand Customers’ requirements and devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.
- Supports the group team with problem solving and training activities.
- Assists marketing and outreach programs.
- Keep familiar with current industry standards and requirements (e.g. ISO 11607, MDR, IEC 60601 etc).
The ideal candidate must have:
- Degree level or equivalent in relevant subject or demonstrable relevant business experience of a minimum of 6 years in a technical sales role.
- Fluency in German and English both spoken and written.
- Ability to influence across functions across our client and across companies to achieve objective.
- Must be able to network internally across all functions and externally with Customer organizations and other service providers.
- Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the business and able to work with counterparts within group worldwide to achieve business objectives.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system to track opportunities.
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with strong technical capabilities and be capable of handling multiple development aspects of assigned projects.
- Effective communicator.
- Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to influence people in their opinions, attitude or judgements; to generalize, evaluate and make decisions in stressful situations.
- Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.
- Requirement of up to 50% travel, including overseas.
